Wikis are a great writing/reading tool that can be used to communicate share information between teachers and students alike. Wikis can be edited. When you work with Wikis be prepared to lose your ownership of you thoughts. Wikis have the best price to use (FREE!)
I have trouble with losing the ownership of my thoughts. I don't necessarily want the credit but when I post something and then someone changes it all around it kinda bugs me. I just have to get over it. Do you have that problem? How about your students?
ReplyDeleteWe need FREE in Spotsy these days!
ReplyDeleteI'm sitting on the fence with Wikis. I can see it if everyone who edits is serious and adds accurate information, but there are people who can sound very knowledgeable and as fun for themselves, write in something totally inaccurate. I'm remembering that great website on dihydrogen oxide, and that information was true.
ReplyDeleteIt would be kind of nice if people wouldn't change the information on wikis that we post. Maybe just add to it instead of editing it.
